Unhindered Ministries was birthed out of Courtney Goodwin’s personal testimony. After spending seventeen years suffering from chronic pain and illness, and believing God was calling her to suffer in this way, the Holy Spirit came crashing in. Courtney was hungry for more of God and desperate for healing for her son’s special needs. She searched the Bible for stories of God healing people like her son. Dwelling on these stories began to grow her faith for healing. During a massive encounter with Holy Spirit, her body was healed and her mind was renewed. Her theology changed and she realized God was bigger and better than she had ever imagined.
Courtney was delivered from a victim mentality and learned how to live like an overcomer. Her healing continued as she was delivered from addictions to food and pornography, and learned how to overcome anxiety and depression. God also brought healing in the area of her identity. She shed “fear of man” (caring way too much about what others think) and now lives to please God alone. Her desire for revival and love for Jesus made her brave enough to release music that she had previously been afraid to release.
She’s worn many hats in her lifetime, from worship leader to women’s ministry director to outreach team member in a strip club ministry; but Courtney’s favorite role is as wife to Chad and mom to her three teenage children.
